Kyle Blum was selected for the
BRAIN Initiative Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Postdoctoral Fellowship (F32).
When: funding from Aug. 2019 to July 2022
What: This project seeks to gain foundational knowledge of how sensory signals from our limbs are transformed by the nervous system and utilized by the brain for motor control. In the long term, this knowledge will be necessary for developing therapies for restoring proprioception as well as furthering our knowledge of what neural computations occur in the afferent pathway from the peripheral to central nervous system.
